What you can do here

See programs that may fit

The checker looks at SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, federal housing assistance, Veterans Pension, and income compared with 135% of the poverty guidelines. It also asks for your state.

Lifeline: free monthly service

Lifeline is one phone or internet discount per household. Bring your own phone or ask a provider about a SIM. Plans and states vary.

Deals that can lower costs

Compare membership discounts, low-cost internet, grocery delivery that takes EBT, tax filing, and mobile bank accounts. Each company sets its own rules.

How the checker works

1

Choose your state

Poverty guidelines are higher in Alaska and Hawaii. A few programs, including California LifeLine, have state rules.

2

Answer on this device

Your answers stay in the browser. BenefitBoost does not receive them, and the form does not ask for an EBT card or PIN.

3

Review, then apply with the agency

The result is an estimate. State agencies and providers make the decision. Partner links are labeled when we may earn a commission.

Questions

Is BenefitBoost a government website?

No. BenefitBoost is a free website run by Miami Metro LLC. It is not a government agency and it is not affiliated with USDA or SNAP. Applications are handled by state agencies and by the companies that offer each program.

Do you ask for an EBT card number or PIN?

No. BenefitBoost never asks for an EBT card number or PIN. Anyone who asks you for that information is not us. Balance and deposit questions go to the phone number on the back of the card or to your state account.

How does BenefitBoost make money?

The site is free to use. Miami Metro LLC may earn a commission if you sign up with a partner through a link on this site. That commission does not change the price you pay. Partner links are marked as affiliate links.

What is Lifeline?

Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet service for an eligible household. The benefit is limited to one per household. In most states you bring your own phone or use a SIM. California has its own LifeLine program, described on our Lifeline page.

Will the eligibility checker enroll me?

No. The checker runs in your browser and is not sent to BenefitBoost. It compares your answers with public Lifeline rules and shows offers to review. A provider or an agency makes the real decision.
